Naturalized American Forward Phillip Wheeler (204-F-2002) had a great game in the last week for league's second-best Piratas de Quebradillas and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 29.
The 22-year old forward had the game-high 34 points adding eight rebounds for Quebradillas in his team's victory, helping them to beat Bayamon (#1, 24-10) 116-111. Piratas maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Puerto Rican BSN. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Quebradillas will need more victories to improve their 20-14 record. In the team's last game Wheeler had a remarkable 84.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Piratas, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Phillip Wheeler averages this season 15.8ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last week's games was young Mali Cheick Diallo (206-C/F-1996) of Osos de Manati. Diallo impressed basketball fans with 36 points and 8 rebounds. Of course he led Osos to another comfortable win 100-87 over the higher-ranked Caguas (#3, 18-15) being unquestionably team leader. Manati's 6th position in Group B has not changed. 25 lost games are too many comparing to just seven victories Osos managed to get this year. Diallo is one of the most experienced players at Manati and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.0ppg (#8). He also registered 9.4 boards per game.

The third best performed player last week was American Javale McGee (213-C-1988) of top-ranked Vaqueros de Bayamon. McGee got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last week. He went also for nine rebounds . Despite McGee's great performance the Vaqueros lost 111-116 to #2 ranked Quebradillas. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Bayamon needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in the Group B. Their record is 24 victories and 10 lost games. McGee has a great season in Puerto Rico. After 25 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.4rpg (9th best). He also has 1.6bpg and a FGP of 59.2%.

4. Jacob Wiley (203-C-1994) of Carolina - 24 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
